You may have computer search for ads containing only specific term(s) allowing you to locate them quickly. Enter the search term(s) separated by a space.
Notes for advanced searchers:
You may use "and", "or", or "not" between words. If you use "and" or a space between words, computer will look for ads that contain all the words. To have the computer find items that have any of the words, enter "or" between words.
You may truncate a word and add an asterisk (*) for the missing part. For example, if you enter "clinic*", the system will find all items that contain either "clinic", "clinics", "clinical", etc. A position announcement may contain a common word in a plural form instead of a singular. Use "nurse or nurses" or "nurse*" to pick up both "nurse" and "nurses".
Search terms are case insensitive. That is, "hospital", "Hospital", or "HOSPITAL" yields the same result.
Enter the name of a state if you would like to get a list of all positions in that state. There is one exception, though. For Virginia enter "virginia not west virginia". Likewise, give the name of a city for a listing of all positions available in that city. If the name of your city is in more than one state, enter the name of the city followed by the name of the state. An expample: "springfield illinois".
If you are interested in a region (two or more states), enter the name of states with "or" between them. For example, for a listing of jobs in the southern New England states enter: "connecticut or massachusetts or rhode island".
A term is not necessarily a word. It can be a postal zip code, a telephone area code, a telephone number, or NTP ad number. The format of a telephone number is xxx-xxx-xxxx and that of a New Technology Press ad number is NUxxxxxx.
